Dr. Sam Azoulay
Dr. Azoulay graduated undergraduate from the State University of New York at Bingham and Georgetown University Dental School in 1986. After graduation, he was a resident at the D.C. Veterans Administration. He and Dr. Meson founded the practice in 1989. Dr. Azoulay extensively participates in continuing education programs to acquire the ever-changing techniques and products that general dentistry has to offer. Dr. Azoulay is a native New Yorker with hobbies that include gardening, fishing, crabbing, reading, and cycling. Dr. Azoulay is married to Dr. Meson and together have two children.
Dr. Halina Meson
Dr. Meson graduated in 1987 from UNC Dental School in Chapel Hill, N.C. She also holds a Master of Science in Nutrition which she completed in 1982. While completing her degree, Dr. Meson worked extensively with special needs adults and children as well as the elderly. The D.C. Veterans Administration is where Dr. Meson completed her residency. Dr. Meson was dental chief at the Soldier’s and Airman Home in Washington D.C. for one year before opening her practice along with her husband Dr. Azoulay in 1989. She has been a 25 year member of the University of North Carolina Dental Alumni. Attending continuing education courses, cosmetic dentistry in particular, help keep her up to date on the latest technologies. Dr. Meson has completed training at the American College of Integrative Medicine and Dentistry (ACIMD.) She has completed board certification in Integrative Biologic Dental Medicine (IBDM) and board certification from the American Naturopathic Medical Certification as a Naturopathic Physician. She practices Biological Dentistry with the practice.
Dr. Lisa Daniel
Dr. Daniel is a graduate of Florida International University where she completed her BSc. in Biology. She left sunny South Florida for Washington, D.C. to pursue her dental degree at Howard University. Upon completion of dental school she furthered her training through a 1 year general residency in Bronx, NY. Dr. Daniel enjoys creating new smiles for her patients, as well as spending time with her husband and dog.
Dr. Janine Carrington
Dr. Carrington graduated from Howard University for General Dentistry in 1989 and in 1993 for Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. Dr. Carrington was assistant professor at Howard University for 5 years and joined our practice in 2005. She enjoys traveling, jazz music, and weight training. Dr. Carrington is originally from Jamaica and has 2 children.
Dr. Augusto Rivera
Dr. Rivera graduated in 1985 from the University Of Puerto Rico School Of Dentistry. He then joined the US Navy where he practiced as a general dentist. In 1991 he was selected to start training in Orthodontics and became a fully certified Orthodontist in 1993. In 2007 he retired from the US Navy after 21 years of service. During his last four years in the Navy he taught Orthodontics at the Navy Postgraduate Dental School in Bethesda, MD. He joined our practice in 2008. He loves traveling, gardening, cooking, dancing, and spending time with his family and friends.
Dr. David Glynn
Dr. David Glynn is a Board Certified Periodontist with extensive training and experience in the treatment of all aspects or periodontal disease and the placement of dental implants. After completing dental school and seven years of experience as a general dentist in the Navy, Dr. Glynn was selected for advanced training in periodontics at the University of Maryland Dental School in Baltimore. He completed his career in the Navy teaching periodontal therapy and dental implants at the Navy Postgraduate Dental School in Bethesda, Maryland.
Dr. Glynn was honored to join Drs. Meson and Azoulay in 2006 because of the unique opportunity to bring “in house” specialty care directly to our patients rather than having to seek out treatment on their own. We use “state of the art” techniques such as 3-D imaging Computer Tomography to aid in treatment planning and the accurate placement of dental implants. The collaboration of the highly experienced staff allows us to provide our patients with exceptional “start to finish” dental care. Dr. Glynn is a member of the American Academy of Periodontology and a Diplomat of the American Board of Periodontology.
Shannon Murphy, R.D.H., B.S.
Shannon graduated from Howard Community College in 1990 with an Associates Degree in Pre-Allied Health and University of Maryland in Baltimore in 1995 with a Bachelors degree in dental hygiene. Shannon joined our practice in 1991 as a dental assistant while continuing her education. She began her career as a dental hygienist with our practice in 1995. Shannon stays active in her profession by being a member of the American Dental Hygiene Association and attending continuing courses. In her spare time, Shannon enjoys traveling, gardening, dancing, and spending time with her son Cole, daughter Lilli, yellow Labrador Luke, family and friends.
Shabnam Faili, R.D.H.
Shabnam graduated from Baltimore City Community College with an Associates Degree in Dental Hygiene in 2006. Shabnam has been practicing as a full time dental hygienist ever since. She joined our practice in 2009, she continues to stay active in her profession by being a member of the American Dental Hygiene Association. Concerning teeth, Shabnam enjoys what happens in the chair with patient education and administering thorough dental care as well as the prospect of meeting new people and hopefully making a difference in their health. Shabnam also enjoys spending time with her husband and her son.
Amanda Grubb, R.D.H.
Amanda graduated from Broome Community College with an AA Degree in Dental Hygiene in 2001. Amanda joined our practice in 2007. She stays current in her profession by attending continuing education courses. She enjoys reading, traveling, and spending time with her husband, Matt and three daughters, Katherine, Emerson and Avery.
Kajsa England, R.D.H., B.S.
Kajsa studied pre-dental hygiene coursework at UMBC and graduated in 2015 from the University of Maryland School of Dentistry with a bachelor's degree in dental hygiene. She moved to Maryland in 2009 from North Dakota and enjoys living on the east coast, primarily due to the warmer climate. Kajsa became motivated to pursue her career in dental hygiene after volunteering with a dental clinic in Honduras, an experience that made her realize the importance of oral health education and preventative treatment. Her hobbies include sewing, baking, crocheting, pottery, and playing video games. She enjoys spending time with her husband Chris, her pug Lucy, and her cat Bucky.
